Clinical Nuclear Medicine 2010

2010 PET-CT Imaging

ABOUT THE MEETING

Clinical Nuclear Medicine 2010:
This symposium will focus on the latest trends in Nuclear Medicine. State of the art imaging protocols along with advances in clinical diagnosis and patient management will be the focus of this meeting. An open forum discussion addressing the current Tc-99m shortage and potential short and long term solutions will round out the clinical lectures. Faculty will discuss current and future directions in cardiology, neurology, oncology, genitourinary and gastrointestinal imaging.

2010 PET-CT Imaging:
The application of PET and PET-CT has modernized the treatment and follow up of many disease processes. This symposium is structured to provide a clinical perspective of PET and PET-CT imaging. Throughout this program, basic to advanced applications of PET and PET-CT are put in the context of disease detection and treatment planning. All faculty have been chosen for their teaching ability, as well as for their clinical expertise.

TARGET AUDIENCE

Clinical Nuclear Medicine 2010:
This course should benefit radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians, and nuclear medicine technologists. It should also benefit physicians who supervise and interpret nuclear medicine procedures. The course should also prove valuable for physicians who order these studies.

2010 PET-CT Imaging:
This CME activity should benefit radiologists, oncologists, nuclear medicine physicians, and nuclear medicine technologists. The course should also prove valuable for physicians who order these studies.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

Attendees should, at the completion of these courses, be able to:

Clinical Nuclear Medicine 2010:

  • Discuss current and future directions of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging.
  • Describe the clinical application of nuclear medicine imaging in the evaluation of hepatobiliary and gastrointestinal disease.
  • Explain recent advances in imaging and evaluating the genitourinary system.
  • Incorporate state of the art imaging protocols for evaluation of the endocrine system.
  • Evaluate a variety of oncologic processes and metastatic disease using state of the art nuclear medicine imaging protocols.
  • Implement state of the art imaging protocols for evaluating cardiac and neurologic disease.
  • Discuss potential long and short term solutions to the Tc-99m shortage.

2010 PET-CT Imaging:

  • Optimize PET and PET-CT imaging protocols for the detection and follow up of head and neck cancers.
  • Implement newer protocols for imaging lung and breast cancer into practice.
  • Explain the clinical application of PET-CT in evaluating coronary artery disease.
  • Discuss the role of PET CT in cancer staging, radiation treatment planning and follow up for lymphoma, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, and gynecologic malignancies.
  • More effectively dictate a PET-CT report.

No special educational preparation is required for this CME activity.

COURSE ORGANIZATION

This program is planned and organized by Educational Symposia, the leader in diagnostic imaging education since 1975.
