ABOUT THE MEETING

This symposium will present a comprehensive series of lectures structured to optimize practice management and group dynamics. Topics will cover the bread-and-butter issues of running a successful radiology practice. Faculty members will discuss such pertinent issues as mechanisms for group evaluation, the pros and cons of productivity measures, the use of physician extenders, understanding and negotiating difficult hospital contracts, service and quality, and marketing. Current issues such as technical payment cuts, recruiting and retaining employees, needed information infrastructure, and the business of cardiac CTA also will be covered. The comprehensive course syllabus should provide substantial take-home information that registrants can use as a resource for improving the structure and operations of their practice. The course will be interactive, utilizing the audience response system to provide immediate feedback. The registrants will be able to participate in the popular socio-economic data project, comparing their practice with those of the other attendees. The faculty is comprised of nationally recognized teachers who have implemented these skills successfully in their own practices and in many others across the country.
