One-Of-A-Kind Symposium

About the Meeting

This course is designed to provide a comprehensive review of cutting edge imaging for the evaluation and assessment of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular disease. Discussion will include how technological advancements in both CTA and MRA have lead to improved diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities with increased confidence and sensitivity. Throughout the program, tips, techniques, protocols and state of the art vascular applications will be discussed. Information acquired during this symposium is designed to improve diagnostic capabilities and expand clinical applications.

Target Audience

This course is primarily intended for physicians interested in the performance and interpretation of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular CT and MR procedures. The course should also be of benefit to physicians who perform, order, and/or interpret cardiovascular and peripheral imaging studies.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

Attendees should, at the completion of this course, be able to:

  • Identify cardiovascular and peripheral vascular anatomy with CT and MR.
  • Describe the CT and MR appearance of common cardiovascular and peripheral vascular pathology.
  • Differentiate congenital disorders from other anatomical anomalies of the cardiovascular system.
  • Compare the clinical applications of CTA and MRA in the evaluation and assessment of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular disease.
  • Incorporate imaging techniques and protocols for evaluation of the cardiovascular system into clinical practice.
  • Discuss current credentialing and reimbursement regulations for cardiac CTA.
  • Describe applications and methods used to minimize radiation dose in cardiac CTA.
