ABOUT THE MEETING

The 30th Annual Residents' Radiology Review Course will cover a wide range of topics common to most current diagnostic radiology practices. It is organized in focus sessions ranging from Musculoskeletal, Abdomen/Pelvis, Chest to Neuroradiology/Head and Neck. Some discussions on related image guided interventions can also be found.

TARGET AUDIENCE

The course is designed for senior radiology residents as well as for practicing radiologists who desire a comprehensive review of the entire field of Diagnostic Radiology.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

Attendees should, at the completion of this course, be able to:

  • Know the differential diagnosis for congenital and adult cardiac disease.
  • Describe criteria for interpretation of nuclear medicine studies including lung scanning, cardiac imaging, gastrointestinal and skeletal imaging. Indications and diagnostic interpretation of PET/CT will be discussed.
  • Identify the basic vascular and nonvascular interventional procedures.
  • Identify the findings of musculoskeletal pathology including internal derangement of joints, articular disease, trauma and neoplastic processes.
  • Describe neurological disease states including intracranial neoplasms, cerebral vascular diseases and findings associated with head trauma.
  • Describe and identify disease states of the chest and abdomen in the adult and pediatric patient. Determine which imaging modality is best for the diagnosis of abdominal and pelvic diseases. Know the sonographic manifestations of fetal anomalies. Differentiate normal from abnormal obstetrical sonography.
  • Describe abnormal findings on mammography, determine which lesions need further evaluations, and know the BIRAD categories and the correlative management.

No special educational preparation is required for this CME activity

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Tuition includes all course materials, including a comprehensive course syllabus, daily continental breakfasts and coffee breaks. Early registration is strongly suggested. There will be a $100 surcharge for anyone registering after March 25, 2010. Minimum and maximum attendance levels have been established for this meeting. If your registration cannot be accepted, you will be issued a full tuition refund.
