ABOUT THE MEETING

This course is designed to provide review of Vascular and Interventional Radiology. The course is composed of didactic lectures and interactive case review sessions. The presentations and comprehensive course syllabus are organized into three categories: 1) Vascular Diagnosis, 2) Vascular Interventions, and 3) Non-Vascular Interventions. The presentations will cover patient selection, procedural techniques, anticipated outcomes, potential complications, and post-procedure patient management. The interactive Case Review Sessions will allow course participants to review and assess their skills on illustrative cases.





TARGET AUDIENCE

Diagnostic Radiology Residents desiring comprehensive review of Vascular and Interventional Radiology; Diagnostic Radiologists who perform invasive procedures; and Interventional Radiology Fellows.





EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

Attendees should, at the completion of this course, be able to:

  • Have a thorough understanding of the pertinent and essential principles of Vascular and Interventional Radiology.
  • Know the indications, anticipated outcomes and potential complications of common interventional radiologic procedures.
  • Be familiar with the materials and technical details for procedure performance.
  • Be able to discuss interventional radiologic cases presented at the viewbox.

No special educational preparation is required for this CME activity





REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Tuition includes all course materials, including a comprehensive course syllabus, daily continental breakfasts and coffee breaks. Early registration is strongly suggested. There will be a $100 surcharge for anyone registering after March 25, 2010. Minimum and maximum attendance levels have been established for this meeting. If your registration cannot be accepted, you will be issued a full tuition refund.

Cancellations must be received in writing. A $50 processing fee will be applied to all cancellations. Refunds requested in writing prior to March 5, 2010 will be issued for the amount of tuition paid less the $50 processing fee. No refunds will be made on or after that date.





ACCREDITATION

The University of California, San Diego School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The University of California, San Diego School of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 7.25 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Category A/A+ CE Credit is pending approval by the ASRT.

Technologists: This activity is approved for credit by the ASRT for 8.00 hours in Category A CE Credit, provided it is completed as designed.
