ABOUT THIS DVD TEACHING PROGRAM

This DVD teaching program provides an in depth look into important aspects of cardiac and peripheral vascular CT imaging. Beginning with the basics, this program will progress into more advanced applications providing tips on image optimization and post processing. Radiation dose reduction guidelines and techniques will be emphasized. Also included will be an overview of future applications of cardiovascular CTA together with current appropriateness criteria and reimbursement.





TARGET AUDIENCE

This DVD teaching program should benefit physicians who perform, order, and/or interpret cardiovascular and peripheral CT/CTA studies.





EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

At the completion of this DVD CME series, subscribers should be able to:

  • Explain the primary fundamentals of CTA.
  • Compare cardiac CTA with calcium scoring, discussing the advantages and pitfalls of each.
  • Recognize the CT appearance of normal cardiovascular anatomy, congenital anomalies and common pathology.
  • Implement appropriate imaging protocols for cardiac and peripheral CTA procedures into clinical practice.
  • Assess the benefits and pitfalls of CT/CTA in the evaluation of cardiac and peripheral vascular pathology.
  • Describe current methods used to reduce radiation dose during cardiovascular CT/ CTA examinations and apply these techniques to clinical practice.
  • Summarize the economic impact of CTA in today's medical environment.
  • Discuss advanced and future applications of cardiac CTA.

You will receive a refund for the portion that is returned less a $125 processing fee. If you are returning/cancelling multiple DVD series, please note the $125 fee applies to each series. If your purchase was sent express, the additional shipping charges will NOT be refunded. No refunds can be made after 15 days. All cancellations must be in writing. CME credit cannot be granted on the portion of the purchase that is returned. Abuse of this cancellation policy (2 or more returns) renders the cancellation policy void.
