This course offers a practical yet comprehensive review of nuclear medicine, with a focus on the latest trends, protocols, and advances in clinical diagnosis and patient management. Designed to provide a clinical perspective on PET and PET/CT imaging, the program covers applications ranging from basic to advanced, emphasizing their role in disease detection and treatment planning. Faculty will share techniques, tips, and insights into common artifacts and interpretive pitfalls through didactic lectures and case-based presentations. The course also includes an introduction to theranostics, highlighting emerging indications and applications. All faculty are selected for their exceptional teaching skills and clinical expertise.

This CME activity should benefit radiologists, oncologists, and nuclear medicine physicians. The course should also prove valuable for physicians who order these studies.

Attendees should, at the completion of this course, be able to:

Clinical Applications of Nuclear Medicine
  • Understand the role of PET/CT and SPECT/CT in diagnosing and managing a wide range of diseases, including cancer, infection, inflammation, cardiac, neurologic, and endocrine conditions.
Interpretation, Optimization, and Pitfalls
  • Enhance interpretation skills and recognize common artifacts and pitfalls in nuclear medicine imaging.
  • Learn practical strategies to optimize imaging protocols and patient preparation.
Advances in Imaging and Theranostics
  • Explore emerging technologies, radiopharmaceuticals, and theranostic approaches in nuclear medicine.
  • Review updated guidelines and evolving clinical practices.
Case-Based Learning and Real-World Application
  • Apply knowledge through illustrative case reviews across diverse clinical scenarios.
  • Translate imaging findings into actionable clinical decisions.
No special educational preparation is required for this CME activity.
