General Questions, Navigation & Website Redesign
Why redesign ESI’s website?
Educational Symposia’s (ESI) new website was redesigned to make it easier for our customers to more efficiently view and order any of our CME offerings. We believe our new website will make it easier for you, our customer, to use and also apply ESI Reward Points and coupons that our old site could not accommodate. Our new website also allows our customers to do more things at one time. For example, multiple registrations and DVD orders can take place during one transaction which allows a medical manager or purchasing agent to more efficiently order many items without having to create multiple logins. You can easily isolate one medical specialty to view all CME offerings (live symposia, DVDs or webinars) together or separately. The shopping cart will now allow for better discount pricing, etc.
Where do I find the buttons to register for a symposium and/or order a DVD series or CME?
ESI’s web layout has changed to allow for a more concise and clear viewing. Because of this change all buttons for registering for a symposia and/or ordering a DVD series are down below the title of the course, so just scroll down and add in the number of symposia registrations or DVD orders you wish to purchase. Our new website will also allow you to register for a meeting AND purchase a DVD at the same time for different customers within your medical practice if you wish to purchase in one transaction. If you wish to purchase them using individual credit cards that is also still possible.
Do I need to create an account to register for a symposia and/or order a DVD or CME application?
Yes. To register for a symposia and/or order a DVD on ESI’s website you will need to create an account which requires your name and physical address if you are ordering a DVD series (since UPS will not ship to a PO Box), along with a phone number and a email address where we can send your email confirmation letter for your meeting registration and/or DVD purchase.
What if I’m an accounts payable agent and/or a medical manager and I need to register or purchase
for multiple physicians or technologist? Do I have to create accounts for each person within our medical group?
No. ESI’s new website redesign allows you to create a main account that you can manage with an extensive directory to add multiple names and email addresses for each of your physicians and staff personnel who need to register for a symposium or obtain CME hours from ESI’s DVD teaching series.
Example: Nancy Smith is a manager for a medical group with fifteen physicians. She can setup one main account for herself and than she can register multiple physicians for meetings and/or purchase DVD offerings on an ‘as needed basis’ and also have ESI automatically email CME test packets to the physicians within her group who are using ESI online CME test.
Is it a better to register/order online at ESI’s website or call the 800 number?
The advantage of registering for a symposium or ordering a DVD or CME application online is that you will earn ESI POINTS. ESI POINTS are redeemable anytime during the checkout process so you can automatically receive discounts on registrations, DVD and CME orders when you purchase using ESI’s website. You cannot earn ESI POINTS if you do not register or order using our website.
Will the new website list all my previous orders from the old website or only list new ESI orders?
Yes. All purchases from the old website and the new website will be viewable for historical purposes. Click on your name which is listed in the top right hand corner in blue you can go to a section on the website called “My Account”. There you can view all previous online orders, online CME test, My Reward Points and My Tickets. My Tickets which allow a purchasing agent or medical manager to assign CME applications to multiple individuals and also email confirmations to multiple personnel within one transaction.

How do I know that my meeting registration/DVD/CME order has been processed?
Upon verification of your payment, you will receive an automatic email confirming your meeting registration/DVD/CME order, which includes a confirmation of the amount you paid. Additional information is provided to you in the shipment containing your DVD order however all other confirmations are sent only by EMAIL. Either receipt by EMAIL or sent with the DVD order can be used for reimbursement and/or for tax purposes.
Can I view upcoming live symposia offerings or view DVDs on specific medical specialty?
Yes. ESI ‘s new website allows you to isolate which area you wish to view.
Example: You can view all areas or you can filter by DVDs, Meetings, Cruises, Ski trips and special discounts or by Medical Specialty.
Why should I join your email list?
ESI provides reduced and early registration and/or DVD order opportunities for customers who provide their email to us and allow us to email them discount offers. If possible, we also try to remind our customers that a discount is set to expire so this way they can receive the lower price on their registration and/or DVD order.
If I register or order a DVD online will I automatically receive discount email offers?
ESI automatically adds new online orders into our ESI email list so that we can offer you the best opportunity to receive discounts within your medical specialty. We will only send you emails that are related to products or symposium that you have attended or purchased. If you receive an email offer from ESI that is not relevant to your medical specialty and you do not wish to receive email offers, you can be removed by viewing the email that was sent to you; scroll to the bottom of the email; click on the UNSUBSCRIBE button. This will automatically remove you from our email list. ESI complies with CAN-SPAM Act of 2003.
